Pine Tree Crest is located off FM 729 approximately 9 miles from downtown Avinger, Texas and 10 miles west of Jefferson, a city known locally for antique treasure shopping. Conveniently located within a half-mile of the property, our guests will find opportunities to fish on Lake O’ the Pines at Alley Creek Campground and Boat Ramp, and also Bullfrog Marina on Johnson Creek a short 2 miles away.

For your essential needs, our guests will find a small shopping area anchored by Dollar General, Crestwood Gas Station and One Stop Grill (good burgers and fries), and Pamela’s Fashions & Bait Shop.

There are several great places to visit in and around Avinger and the Lake O’ the Pines area. One of our favorites is Enoch’s Stomp Vineyard and Winery located just 31 minutes south of the property in a small town called Harleton. They offer self serve and personalized wine tastings and a tour of the property and winery. On Friday and Saturday nights enjoy live music performed by local artists from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Reservations are recommended.

Just 3.7 miles further down Highway 154 is Bearcreek Smokehouse who proudly serve Texans with the best quality smoked meats since 1943. They specialize in award winning premium smoked meats such as smoked beef, pork and poultry items. Also, they offer catering and have a newly built event center where, throughout the month, they feature concerts, family fun days, networking and educational events and many other food items to purchase and activities to experience.
